CASE STUDY: FROM FENWAY TO THE RUNWAY

Baseball and Boston are synonymous to the fabric of the community. Knowing that developer Ronald Druker was a season ticket holder of the Red Sox and the new Red Sox ownership trifecta wanted to find ways to connect with the community, Kortenhaus placed a call into the Red Sox Foundation chair to explore the idea of creating an event for the Red Sox Wives. Our concept was to use the luxury fashion houses at The Heritage On The Garden (owned by Mr. Druker) and create a fashion show and luncheon where the wives were the models and proceeds benefited the designated Red Sox charity of choice. “From Fenway to the Runway” was born and grew to become one of

the most sought after charitable events in the city every fall.

The Red Sox wives embraced the event, bringing their children and Red Sox players/husbands to make an appearance at the event. Now in its 15th year, it raises $100,000 annually for the Foundation. After outgrowing the 140 seat space at The Heritage, the event moved to the Natick Mall and currently to Hotel Commonwealth to accommodate more than 250 luncheon guests, a live auction and over 18 wives participating in the fashion show sponsored by Bloomingdales.
